It is one of the 16 hospitals run and managed by Asistencia Sanitaria Interprovincial Seguros Asisa, which is one of Spain's leading health insurance companies. The company is the owner of the Virgen De La Vega Hospital, a long-term acute-care facility and one of the reference private hospitals in Murcia. The hospital provides women's health, high quality wound care and hyperbaric services, imaging services, weight loss services, as well as general psychiatry, pathological addiction and psychotherapy, psychogeriatrics, neurology and clinical neurophysiology, internal medicine, child and youth psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, social rehabilitation, and psychiatric nursing. In terms of surgery, it has a surgical system which provides surgeons with superior 3D visualization, improved dexterity and increased precision for the optimal performance of minimally invasive surgery. The hospital also has a reproduction unit which specializes in artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, sperm microinjection, oocyte donation, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, sperm bank, oocyte freezing, and genetic unit.
